Christofer's New Aid!!

My adorable Christofer got his new hearing aid in his right ear today! He was so excited to get it! He picked out red for the aid part and red and white for the mold (the part that goes into the ear). So now my little man is aided in both ears. Makes me a bit sad, but on the other hand he is just amazing and just takes it in stride. He has never asked "Why me?" or anything like that. He just rolls with the punches. He is amazing to me. I dont know if I would be strong enough not to be mad or ask those kinds of questions. But I do know that that sweet little dude of mine knew what he was going to be facing before he came to this Earth and he choose to come anyway!!! And I am so grateful that he did!! Every day.
The companies making hearing aids now are doing doing such amazing things for kids like my Christofer. Its awesome. Kids (as well as adults) are able to pick out the color of their hearing aids, and are able to pick up to 3 colors for the molds. And with Chris still growing, he grows out of the molds about every couple of months. So he gets to pick out lots of colors and color varitations. He loves it. I think it helps with getting and having hearing aids so much more personable and easier for the kids. The kit he got with this particular hearing aid today was such a blessing. I cant say enough about the company. Oticon. Not only did he get this amazing piece of technology that gives my son part of his hearing back. But its so sleek, and out of Chris's mouth "Mom my hearing aid looks dang sharp!"!!! But they sent him a stuffed animal named Otto who has 2 hearing aids just like him now!!! He was so happy to see that. It almost made me cry. And if anyone of you know me..I dont cry..I hate it. But it brought tears to my eyes to see. They also sent him a bunch of books for him about hearing aids that some kids have written so he can take it to school and let his classmates know about them (he is the only kid in his whole school that is deaf or hard of hearing for that matter!), a book for his teacher to help her know how to help him and the basic ins and outs of a hearing aid. And a few books that are just about Otto and his life with hearing aids! It was just amazing. LOL I think I have said that word alot in here!!! But its just that.
Right now he has 2 different hearing aids, but he will get the other red one for his left ear in about 2 weeks. He is super excited about that!!! How dang cute is that kid!!!!

Ribgy Lake...and of course...A busted head!!

Ok so I love love love the changes they did to Rigby Lake. Its awesome!! My kids had a blast!! And we didnt take home 5 pounds of sand with us!! Yeah. We had a blast though. Chris and Kennedy played with that log for hours on end. I have no idea what the attraction was with it..but who am I to judge LOL!!! Kaity wasnt too sure about the whole lake thing at first..she hates her hands dirty and wasnt impressed with sand being on them, but as soon as she found a shovel, she was loving it!! But as all of you know..my luck only runs so far!! And of course..it just has to involve my Chris. He and Kennedy were pulling up rocks from the bottom of the shallow end and putting them on shore. Chris said he didnt want little kids to step on them and hurt their toes LOL So apparently it was his new mission. Kennedy played along..but apparently got bored...I know I know..Kennedy bored is not the best of things!! I was sitting up in the grass right on the edge by the sand with Kaity. I look over and see Kennedy pick up this 'small boulder'..how she picked it up I'll never know. It was huge. But she managed to do it...and of course...hucks it at Chris's head!! Got him right on the side of his sweet head. Knocked him back into the water. And blood just streamed out of his had and a huge bumped just popped out!!! So needless to say..that ended our day at the lake. I gathered up our stuff with the help of a nice lady that was sitting next to us and saw what happened. And the kids and I made a trip the the Rigby Community Care. Where Chris's head was glued shut and was told he had a minor concussion. Nice eh!! Im telling you..its my luck!!

Kennedy strikes again....LOL

So what can I say...My Kennedy...that should sum that right on up!! She makes me laugh..and want to hide on a daily basis. I cant even fathom where she comes up with some of the stuff she says!! Yesterday...She and I made a quick trip to Broulim's for a few things. After getting our stuff, I was really thirsty and was looking in the cooler at the cold drinks. Grabbed a Arizona Green Tea. Love em. Ok and I did ask 2 Bishops and they said it was ok to drink. If any of you know something different please please let me know! I dont drink them very often but am trying to stay clear of soda. Anyway...it came in one of those tall cans. Kennedy looked at me all confused and frankly a little pissy and here is how our conversation went...
Kennedy -"Ummm mom...you can NOT drink that!!"
Me- "Why?"
Kennedy-" Cause we dont drink beer...DUH!!!"
Me-"Well good thing this isnt beer then huh"
Kennedy-"Well what the crap is it then?" yeah I know...LOL
Me-"Its green tea"
Kennedy (after deep thought) "Ohhh mom...you cant drink that either!!!"
Me-"Its ok..I asked the bishop and they said green tea is ok to drink"
Kennedy-"Ohh..you sure? I dont want you to get in trouble"
Me-"Im pretty sure"
So we go and are checking out and when the cashier rang up the drink...I knew something was coming...
Kennedy-"Hey lady..my mom can drink that...the bishop said its ok..she wont get in trouble..dont worry"
Ohhh the life of Kennedy's mom!!! Never a dull moment!!!

Beets...Potatoes..and Peas oh my!!!

Yeah!! Look my very first harvest from my very first solo garden!! Sweet eh. We didnt get hardly any peas. Wondering if all that crappy weather we had in the beginning of summer had something to do with it. Curse you storms LOL. So I am just hoping I can convince my son and hubby that veggies are good for you!! LOL Here's to hoping I guess. I was pretty happy with myself that I did get stuff to grow. I was convinced that nothing was going to!! But walla...some tasty veggies. And I did all the planting, watering and weeding all by my lonesome. Except for rototilling which my awesome father in law, Mike, did for me. Cause well..that maching scares the crap out of me!! So thanks Mikey!!

Fun at the Water Park in Boise...

We were in Boise last weekend for some doctor appointments for Chris. Man it was HOT there. We took the kids to a park that had a little "water park" thing next to it. It was a blast!! The kids had soo much fun. We went there a few times during the weekend!! Kaity was even getting brave and trying to stand on her own!!!! It was soo much fun!!!

Surgery Round 2!!

Well once again were doing some sort of surgery!! My little Kaitlynn had her second round of tube surgery yesterday. 2 times in under a year better be the trick!!! The doc said her ears were horrible. So atleast we did the right thing. Now I am hoping that the poor little thing will feel better finally and decide maybe to walk!!! The last few pics cracked me up..she is totally doped up right before they took her back. She was soo funny. I think they should prescribe that meds to all parents!! hehehe j/k (maybe!!)

Well I haven't posted in awhile. But here are a few of the bunch I have of Kaitlynn's new 15 month pictures. I am totally in love with them. They are so good!! I just cant get over how dang cute she is!! I just love her. I cant believe she is already 15 months. Thats just rude LOL!! Anyway I hope you like them as much as I do.
